Evidence/activity/anecdote:

I am fortunate to have so many technology resources at my fingertips. One of the most useful things in my classroom that I use daily is the document camera. During writing workshop it is so convenient and easy to put a piece of writing on to share. I have also taught the students to use the Equitrax printer. We’re learning together the smaller details such as printing back-to-back or black and white only. I feel that I’m saving a lot of paper by using this printer. Also, I feel so much more comfortable with the computers. First and foremost, the computers are reliable. When I use the laptop cart or book a lab, I know that the computers are going to work properly. Because I am confident in the computers, I have used them with my class a lot more. In the past, I used to do so much word processing and just publish. I am finding more ways to make them a part of everyday. I've attached some of the tech work that students have completed for evidence.

Impact on student’s learning:

I feel like with the new MacBooks, the impact on learning has been positive. I am introducing more and more programs to the students and having authentic integration opportunities. Kris has developed a rapport and relationship with each of my students. I am also comfortable asking Kris for help when needed. I feel like she brings a lot of ideas forward, and when I have an idea she is always willing to give it a try.
